About the Area

Calabash is a quaint river town located on the southernmost tip of North Carolina. Often referred to as “The Seafood Capital of the World”, the area is famous for its quality fish, fresh shrimp, and distinctive style of fried seafood. In addition to wonderful food and eateries, the growing town has many specialty shops, boutiques, and art galleries.

The area is home to award winning beaches and picturesque salt marshes. Golf courses of varying skill level are nearby in Myrtle Beach with six breath taking courses in the Calabash area. A plethora of local outdoor activities and many fine civil and social organizations are available.
